Many people seem to have short memories, but I don’t. I’ve spent years researching political, geopolitical, and economic issues, and the truth about Ukraine in 2014 is a glaring example of what’s been swept under the rug. Senator Chris Murphy didn’t just hint at U.S. involvement in overthrowing Ukraine’s government—he bragged about it. In a 2014 interview, he said:
- “I think it was our role, including sanctions and threats of sanctions, that forced, in part, Yanukovych from office.”
- “We have not sat on the sidelines. We have been very much involved. Members of the Senate have been there. Members of the State Department have been on the Square.”
- “The Obama administration passed sanctions. The Senate was prepared to pass its own set… I think that the clear position of the United States has, in part, been what has helped lead to this change in regime.”
- “If, ultimately, this is a peaceful transition to a new government in Ukraine, it will be the U.S. on the streets of Ukraine who will be seen as a great friend in helping make that transition happen.”
- “There is a U.S. interest here… If Ukraine is part of the EU and thus is part of this new trade agreement with the United States, that could result in billions of dollars in new economic opportunities for the U.S.”
Murphy laid it bare: the U.S. orchestrated regime change in Ukraine, toppling Viktor Yanukovych to pull the country into the EU’s orbit—and America’s economic grasp. He wasn’t shy about the payoff either—billions for U.S. corporations, all under the guise of “supporting democracy.” Yet when we point out that the CIA and State Department overthrew Ukraine’s government, we’re branded conspiracy theorists. The hypocrisy is staggering.
George Soros, the financier of global activism, was just as candid. In an interview, when asked if he was funding dissident activity in Ukraine, he replied: “Well, I set up a foundation in Ukraine before Ukraine became independent of Russia. The foundation has been functioning ever since. It played an important part in events now.” That “important part”? Bankrolling a “color revolution” through an NGO designed to destabilize and oust Yanukovych. It worked—Yanukovych fled, and the U.S.-backed regime took over. Soros said it himself, plain as day.
Then, there’s the aftermath. Putin annexed Crimea shortly after Murphy’s interview, and Ukraine has been at war ever since. Putin’s actions, while aggressive, came on the heels of a U.S.-engineered coup—something Murphy and Soros openly admitted. Imagine Russia or China orchestrating a regime change in Canada or rallying protesters in Mexico City to install a pro-Russian government. Would the U.S. sit idly by? Of course not—we’d respond with force, just as Putin did. Yet every mainstream media outlet calls Russia’s moves “unprovoked.” Unprovoked? The U.S. provoked it—by toppling Ukraine’s government and steering it West.
This wasn’t about freedom or the Ukrainian people. It was a calculated operation by the Obama administration, Soros, and their allies to flip a country, secure economic wins, and expand Western influence—all wrapped in the flag of “democracy.” They bragged about it on record, then dared to lecture us about sovereignty. The Democrat double standard shines through: Murphy gloats about regime change in 2014 but now blames Trump for not toeing their line, using tweets as a smokescreen to deflect from their own actions.
If they were this brazen about Ukraine, how many other “spontaneous uprisings” or “freedom fights” were just cover stories for the next deal? Old clips show how openly they admit it—Soros funding riots, the U.S. directing the chaos—and yet the masses still don’t see it. If you don’t grasp what happened in 2014, you’re blind to the real story. The propaganda runs so deep that even when the culprits confess, we’re told Russia “started it.” They didn’t defend democracy in Ukraine—they hijacked it, turned the country into a playground for elites, and left us with a war that’s still burning. The only question left is: how many other nations got the same script?
