About En-Joy Ministries: Cultivating Joy, Growing Faith

At En-Joy Ministries, we live by the truth that “The Joy of the Lord is our Strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). Our mission is to cultivate and promote the joy of the Lord among God’s people as a powerful source of spiritual strength. We believe that understanding and obeying scripture brings joy into our lives, teaching us to acknowledge God’s hand in our success. This joy is not just an emotion—it’s a resilient force that sustains believers through life’s challenges, drawn from a deep connection with God.

Founded by Barron Greenwalt, En-Joy Ministries is rooted in the belief that true strength comes from knowing and serving the Lord. Our language is influenced by Barron’s love for gardening and farming, reflecting God’s creation through themes of seed planting, cultivation, and harvesting. We delve into the biblical meaning of “joy,” exploring its Hebrew and Greek roots, and embrace the prefix “EN” (meaning “in” or “within”) to inspire concepts like Enable, Enrich, Encourage, and Enjoy. As we say, “No joy, no strength”—joy in God fuels our faith and endurance.

Our Practical Ministries

En-Joy Ministries is committed to living out the Word of God through practical outreach that nurtures both body and spirit:

  • Greenwalt Farms: We cultivate the land and the spirit, sharing farm-fresh eggs with scripture teachings tucked inside cartons and distributing fresh vegetables throughout the summer. Our gardening ministry draws from Romans 1:20, revealing God’s eternal power and divine nature through creation, inviting others to encounter His truth.
  • Barron’s Cooking for Christ: We deliver meals to those in need, combining physical nourishment with spiritual encouragement, reflecting Christ’s love in action.

Our Goal

Our ultimate aim is to fulfill the Great Commission—making disciples who make disciples. We strive to produce mature believers equipped to share their faith and disciple others, as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20. We achieve this by:

  • Deepening Scriptural Understanding: Helping believers gain a richer grasp of scripture, aiming for the maturity described in James 3:2, where faith guides every word and thought (2 Corinthians 10:5).
  • Promoting Active Faith: Encouraging believers to be doers of the Word, not just hearers (Hebrews 5:14), skilled in discerning good from evil through practice.
