Want my advice? Do not take statin drugs unless you absolutely have no other option—and even then, think long and hard, especially if you’re still young (under 60).
If your doctor says you need to lower “bad” cholesterol, triglycerides, or clear plaque in your arteries from things like trans fats, explore natural routes first: real whole foods, farm-raised meats/eggs/veggies (like we do on our farm), exercise, prayer, and lifestyle changes. Statins aren’t the only path.
I fully believe statin drugs contribute to dementia and cognitive issues. The brain is largely made of cholesterol—about 25% of the body’s total cholesterol is in the brain, where it’s essential for building cell membranes, forming synapses (the connections for learning and memory), producing myelin (which insulates nerve signals), and overall brain function. Cholesterol is crucial for hormone production and many bodily processes. Artificially driving it way down can interfere with that—don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Do not blindly follow your “medical professional” just because they have a title. As children of God, we have the Holy Spirit living in our temple—use the discernment He’s gifted you. Pray to your Daddy in heaven, seek wisdom, and listen to trusted brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ who know you and share your values. Test everything against Scripture and truth.
I had that discernment with the mRNA shots—I called them poison and didn’t take them. I tried to warn everyone, but many didn’t listen. The same goes here with statins: question aggressively, research for yourself, and don’t just comply.
Your health—body, mind, and spirit—is worth protecting. What path are you choosing?
