A Wake-Up Call from En-Joy Ministries: Why Aren’t We Reaching the Lost?

by Pastor Barron Greenwalt

Jesus’ final command still rings in our ears:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19–20).
“All nations” means every tongue, tribe, and religion: Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, New-Agers, postmodern skeptics, folk religionists, and our Jewish neighbors.

Yet when was the last time your church offered real, practical training on how to share the gospel with any of them?

  • Islam: 2 billion souls and growing fast.
  • Hinduism: over 1 billion.
  • Buddhism: more than half a billion, and Buddha statues are now decorating the yards of professing Christians in Western Pennsylvania.
  • New spiritualities and occult practices are exploding among Gen Z and Millennials.

These people are not “over there.” They are our neighbors, co-workers, classmates, and families moving in down the street. Many of them desperately want to come to America, and when they arrive, who will tell them about Jesus?

We fly to Mexico to pour concrete for a church building (a good thing!), yet we walk past Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists every day without a gospel conversation or even a plan. That is not obedience to the Great Commission?

The hard questions every believer and every church must face:

  • When was the last time your church held an evangelism workshop that actually taught you how to share Christ with a Muslim who fears hell-realms, or a Hindu crushed by karma and caste, or a Buddhist pursuing nirvana through self-effort?
  • When did your pastor last preach a series on reaching the nations that are now in our neighborhoods?
  • Does your church offer classes in worldview evangelism, beginning Hebrew for Jewish outreach, or training on the elder-led model Scripture commands?
  • Is your men’s ministry discipling young fathers and single twenty-somethings, or is it stuck with the same gray heads who’ve been coming for twenty years?

Leadership is teaching. If we are not being equipped, we are not being led.

That is why En-Joy Ministries exists.

Right now, we are producing the most thorough, practical, Scripture-saturated evangelism training series most churches have ever offered their people: the Bridging Beliefs series.
Each part gives you:

  • Clear explanation of the religion’s core beliefs
  • Key theological differences we can never compromise
  • Dozens of tested gospel bridges and conversation starters
  • Practical steps to share Christ with gentleness and boldness

We have already completed in-depth guides for Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. Folk religionists, modernists, cultural postmodernists, practitioners of alternative spiritualities, and Jewish outreach are coming next.

But here is the reality: finishing this series, printing workbooks, recording workshops, and getting them into the hands of pastors, small groups, and individual believers costs money.

If this kind of training is what the church has been missing.
If you believe the Great Commission is still in effect.
If you are tired of watching the nations come to our doorstep while we remain silent…

…then we need your help.

Every dollar you give goes directly to turning these teachings into finished, reproducible resources that any church, small group, or believer can use to reach the lost right where they live.

You can partner with us today:

Even a one-time gift of $25, $50, or $100 helps us put gospel tools in the hands of people who are ready to obey Jesus’ command.

Because the fields are ripe for harvest (John 4:35), and the workers are still far too few.

Let’s stop asking “Why isn’t someone doing something?”
Let’s be the someone.

For the sake of the nations now living next door, Pastor Barron Greenwalt, En-Joy Ministries
