As a pastor, I’ve prayed for years for both Donald Trump and Elon Musk, two influential figures shaping our world. I recall the late Phil Robertson sharing how he presented the gospel to Trump, planting a seed I’ve prayed would take root. While Trump speaks of belief in God and his life was undeniably spared by divine intervention during an assassination attempt, his words and actions don’t yet reflect a clear commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Similarly, I’ve followed Elon Musk’s statements on faith, noting his curiosity about the universe through SpaceX and his fascination with creation. Recently, I messaged Elon, urging him to reflect on Romans 1:20: “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” This verse speaks to the intelligent design evident in the cosmos, which Elon explores through his ventures.

Both men wield immense influence, yet their greatest need is salvation through Christ. Revelation 20:15 warns, “Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” Let’s pray they accept Jesus’ sacrifice, as 1 Peter 1:18-19 reminds us: “You were redeemed… with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” Join me in lifting them up, that their names may be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Prayer for Donald Trump and Elon Musk Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, seeking Your mercy for Donald Trump and Elon Musk. You spared Trump’s life, and we pray that moment draws him to accept Jesus as his Savior, as Phil Robertson once shared the gospel with him. Guide Elon, who marvels at Your creation through SpaceX, to see You as the Creator revealed in Romans 1:20. Open their hearts to Your truth, that they may repent, embrace Christ’s sacrifice, and secure their names in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 20:15). May their influence glorify You.
