“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ…”
– Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)
How do we live faithfully while awaiting the full restoration of our minds and spirits? Philippians 1:6 assures us that God will complete His work in us. Though sin’s effects linger, we can grow spiritually, trusting God’s sovereignty over all realms. Revelation 21:4 promises a future where every tear is wiped away, and our minds and bodies are fully restored in Christ’s presence.
Until then, we live in the tension, engaging our minds and spirits through practical steps. Prayer, worship, and meditating on Scripture (Psalm 119:15) deepen our spiritual sensitivity, even touching the subconscious. Worship, as I’ve shared before, aligns our hearts with God’s purposes, preparing us for His work (Revelation 4:11). These practices counter the enemy’s confusion, grounding us in truth and fostering obedience.
We must also trust God’s sovereignty over unseen dimensions. Dreams or déjà vu may offer glimpses of the spiritual, but our focus should be on glorifying God, not chasing mysteries (Colossians 3:2). As we grow in faith, the Holy Spirit continues to renew our minds, helping us discern His will and resist deception. Let’s live with bold faith, knowing that one day, in eternity, we’ll experience the fullness of what Adam once knew—a mind and spirit perfectly united with God.
Takeaway: Commit to a daily practice of prayer or Scripture meditation, trusting God to renew your mind as you await His return. Let’s pray: Father, complete the good work You’ve begun in us, renewing our minds by Your Spirit. Amen.
