Reflections of Self

In the quiet of my mind, I ponder,
How am I seen through others’ eyes?
A delicate soul to be cradled with care,
Or a beacon of vanity, self-absorbed, or domineering?
Do some look up to me, yearning for my grace?
Yet why do others hesitate, to trust, to embrace?
Am I a figure of fear, love, or disdain?
The truth of my image, I search in vain.
Within this introspective dance,
I seek to understand, to enhance,
This riddle of perception, this quest to see,
How do others truly see me?
